Lamborghini Countach
The Lamborghini Countach is more over 30 years old, yet it still turns as many heads now as it did in 1974, when the first LP400 came off the assembly line and into showrooms.
Lamborghini Countach Tires
The early Lamborghini Countach LP400 was outfitted with 205/70 VR 14 Michelin XWX tires on the front and 215/70 VR 14 Michelin XWX tires on the rear. Although later Countach models fitted Pirelli tires, the P7 had not yet been fully developed, and the XWX was the tire capable in 1974 of withstanding the Lamborghini LP400s outstanding power, this would still be our recommendation for the early Countach on 14" wheels.
The Countach LP400S from 1978 to 1982 and LP5000S from 1982 to 1985 were fitted with 205/50 YR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 front tires and 345/35 ZR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 rear tires.
Pirelli P7

The Pirelli Cinturato P7 was released in 1974. Pirelli's P7 was a ground-breaking tire, introducing incredibly low-profile technology that delivered extraordinary levels of directional stability and grip. These very low-profile tires also allowed for the fitment of much better brakes, something important for extremely powerful cars such as the Countach. Lamborghini then upgraded to the larger front tire 225/50 YR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO TM P7 for the Countach 5000QV in 1985.
Lamborghini then upgraded to the larger front tire 225/50 YR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO TM P7 for the Countach 5000QV.
The final Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary models of 1988 to 1990 were outfitted with 225/50 ZR 15 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico front tires and 345/35 ZR 15 Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico rear tires.
Pirelli's P-Zero Asimmetrico is a high-performance low-profile tire that was introduced in 1986. The Asimmetrico or Asymmetric tread design of these P-Zero tires guarantees excellent traction in straight lines and bends, wet or dry. Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetrico tires were used on the Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary model as well as other flagship cars of the day such as the Ferrari F40.
Although these are all original equipment Lamborghini Countach tires, we would recommend that you use the same rubber today.
